The film

The film: Victor, an elderly hermit finds himself watching the apocalypse from inside the apartment he hasn't left in 30 years. A relic from his past holds the key to humanity's salvation, but before he can save the world he must overcome his demons.

Our film portrays society's denial towards world issues that threaten our very existence. We hold the key to many problems but choose not to take action and help each other.

We fell behind a little with the shout outs so here they are!

Thank you to Myriame Campeau, Laurent Robillard-Cardinal, Simon Briere-Audet , Erin Cookson and Stephanie Hassal! You're donation and encouragement are most appreciated, keep checking out the blog, big updates regarding the film are coming!

Thank you to Charles Dubois! Your support is greatly appreciated and gives Chris and I a lot of confidence in the completion of this project, merci beaucoup!

Moving around a bit...

Ok, so the domain www.gottisttot.com now points directly to our campaign site on IndieGoGo. We made this change because we decided that the information on that page best represents and explains our project to people who may not already be familiar with it, while this blog is for people following the project. So make sure to bookmark our blog and keep your eyes peeled! Very exciting stuff coming down the pipeline over the next few weeks as pre-production begins.

Just as an update, we will be holding casting calls in mid March - keep your eyes peeled on here for the date and time and place.

Set design will start in early April, and principal photography will begin sometime later that month.

This project is off to a solid start, and before we know it, its going to get nuts! Can't wait.

Incredible! 2 new Associate Producers!

I'm am thrilled to present our two new Associate Producers, Jean-Sébastien Larocque and Marc Cuerrier!

Thank you Jean-Seb for your ludicrously huge donation! I'm super pumped that you believe in this project, this kind of support makes it so much more real! I can't wait to show you around the set and let's not skip the craft table! hahaha

Thank you to Mikael Phipps!

Thank you Mikael for your generous donation! Your support gives us a boost in the right direction! Merci beaucoup!

We are nearly 20% of the way to our goal!!

We have made some incredible gains over the past 24 hours. First we signed on an Executive Producer, and then this morning we received a funding bomb from my super supportive family.

I'd like to take this opportunity to first and foremost thank my parents; Bob and Daintry Chitaroni for their ongoing support. There is no way I would be doing any of this if it weren't for them always being behind me. Big thanks to them for each donating $100 to the project!

I would also like to thank my Grandparents, Ivan and Theresa Funnell, for their generous contribution! They also donated $100 this morning. I think it goes without saying that I have an extremely supportive and loving family. Thank you!

Keep your eyes peeled on the blog as 'thank you' videos will be posted soon.

Welcome to the team Damien Lamoureux!

It's with great pleasure that I present to you our first Executive Producer, Damien Lamoureux! I would like to thank you for your donation, but most importantly for believing in my vision and in my desire to make films. Coming from you this money will not just allow us to create a great film, it also feeds the creative side with a heart felt message of encouragement. Thank you!

More love comin' at us from friends!

I want to extend thanks on behalf of the entire team to good friend of the operation, Alex Normand. Alex was one of our principal actors in last year's 'Profile of a Killer' as well as in Marc Antoine's entry for the OIFF's 72 hour film festival "Jitterbug Love".  Thanks Alex for believing in us! Hope to work with you again soon!

Merci Casey!

I'de like to thank Casey Young for her donation! Right on!

First Concept Art

I asked Clay Larabie to do some concept art for the film yesterday, and literally within hours I had this in my inbox. Great work clay! I hope to continue to post concept art as the project continues into the production stage. So keep checking the blog!

*UPDATED* Clay added the ever important briefcase and improved upon the image a bit so I uploaded the new version. I love the attention to detail here. Hopefully we'll get to see some more stuff from him in the near future!

First Shout Out of the Weekend!

Big thanks to my cousin Shannon Larabie for donating a crisp cool $25. It is super nice to get this much support from your family! Thanks cuz!

Thank you Clay Larabie for your donation! Follow our blog to find out about our progress!

Video shout out to Matt Swalm!

Thank you Matt for your donation! Your the man!

Thanks to Eric Leclerc!

Thank you for your generous donation to our film! As promised here's your personalized video!

Gigantic ball of Thanks!

First off we want to thank Harry Ballzonya for his generous donation of 25$. A longtime supporter with an unfortunate name.

We also would like to thank

Veronique Giroux for her generous donation of $20. Thank you very much for supporting our vision!

Angela Chitaroni, my little sister, for her donation of $25.  I can't believe she actually donated anything, especially after ruining Christmas so many times.

Our esteemed co-worker Dominique Mongeon for her generous donation!

Close friend of the operation Mike DiVirgilio also deserves a big thanks for his donation. I know he probably had to pay long distance fees to send the money all the way from Barrhaven.

And of course Dominique Hebert, who just finished acting in Marc-Antoine's 72 hour OIFF entry 'Jitterbug Love' for her donation as well.

We are overwhelmed with the support we've been shown so far. Only 24 hours into the campaign and we're already well on our way to the goal of $7000

Thanks to Dominick Cousineau Benoit!

Shout out to Dominick Cousineau Benoit for his donation! Thank you my friend I'm sending a virtual hi five your way!!

Big thanks to Jill Hache!

For her $10 donation. Every penny counts, and that's a shitload of pennies! Thanks Jill!

Merci Marc-Antoine Proulx!

So it ends up that our mysterious and generous donor is none other then Marc-Antoine Proulx! Thank you Marc-Antoine for helping us along the way and taking the initiative to donate en francais!

Second donation!

One more and we'll be on a roll, but for now we want to publicly thank Marsvolta666 (whoever that is, you mysterious agent of generosity you...) for supporting and believing in us early in our campaign. Great stuff!

If you are donating to our project, please use your real name so that we can properly thank you. Or at the very least use a clever dirty name such as Mia Ballzonya or Luke Undathaballz. Using your real name will come in extra handy when we do the draw for the Canon ELPH Powershot camera in April!

Please help us make this film a success!

We need your help to raise money in order to make our film! Please visit our Indiegogo campaign for details on how you can help us reach our goal!

We're Live!

If you're reading this, it probably means that our IndieGoGo campaign has gone live! All of us here on the crew of 'Gott Ist Tot' are extremely excited to get this project rolling. The final script is complete, the locations have begun to be scouted and our production schedule is already beginning to take shape. Everything is falling into place. All we need is the support of people like you to help us make this film a reality.

Keep checking this page often as we will be posting all kinds of behind the scenes photos and video over the next few months.
